Tuesday {Tea}se

Lately I've been gulping tea like its my job. Probably from spending the long weekend with my mother in law as no one drinks tea as much as she does. Plus we've been experiencing what we call "May Gray" and now "June Gloom" here in San Diego. And all this weather makes me want to do is curl up on the couch with a warm cup of tea.

My two favorite teas are Chai {Black Tea} and Rooibos {a South African Red Tea}
I get my Chai from Starbucks - my signature drink is a Grande Non-fat Chai with 1/2 pump of Cinnamon Dolce - such a treat for me as I only order it on Fridays.

And my favorite Rooibos is whatever my mother in law sends me; however at this very moment I'm drinking Trader Joes Ruby Red Chai which is a blend of my two favorites. Not bad. But I think I'd prefer to keep them separate.

One tea bandwagon I've yet to jump on is Green Tea. I know many argue it is the healthiest of all teas but I just can't do it. As obvious from the above, I tend to migrate towards the warm and spicy teas.

So my question for you all is: Do you do tea? What's your tea type? And can you recommend a green tea?

Drink for thought...

I love tea! I start my morning with a cup each day. I am lame though and usually drink ear grey or breakfast tea. I will have to try the ones you drink.

I am not quite a tea person, except for thyme tea (I checked it in the dictionary, hope I got the right word, lol) - I like to have it with a toast with butter on it :) that's a very popular breakfast over here.
But I just don't drink tea when I want to drink something. I tried to switch coffee with green tea, but it is too bitter for my taste.
Drinking tea is really healthy though! It's great that you like it :)

I drink tea every afternoon after my morning coffee. It is usually peppermint or Turkish Apple tea.

yum... i'm a tea-aholic! :)
you should try tazo "om" tea.... it's green tea (& starbucks doesn't carry it for some reason??), but it has some melon/cucumber vibe to it that gives it a really good flavor. i think that's my fav green tea. Also, you are only supposed to steep green tea for 1-2 minutes or else it gets really bitter and doesn't taste good.
i also love yogi tea's "thai delight"... i could drink that all day long.

I have begun to drink tea more often as well! I try to drink green tea at least twice a week with a dash of honey. But I found green tea extract pills at Walgreens so I supplement with those. I love Chai with soy and Starbucks new Roobios tea latte is amazing. Actually so is the pomegrante blueberry from Coffee Bean. I blame Mrs. R for my sudden interest!

oooh I am going to try the cinnamon dolce syrup in my starbucks chai next time. I get a non-fat chai tea misto (made with the tea bag instead of the chai drink mix).

If you're not a fan of regular green tea, try jasmine green tea (jasmine flower mixed in).

I love tea. When I'm working I usually have at least two cups of green tea. But I also love Rooibus and chai. Numi makes a wonderful jasmine tea called Monkey King. Soooo good!

Good Earth makes a fairly nice Jasmine green tea.... still a little bitter for my taste, but not too bad.

I'm a tea-pot I know!! I can't believe I'm even suggesting this, but Good Earth makes a fairly acceptable Jasmine green Tea. It still leaves a little after taste that I'm not mad about. Happy Tea - Time.

I usually drink Earl Gray Tea Lattes. 1/2 Tea, 1/2 Milk and some Classic syrup. Since it's been hot out I've gone back to coffee. I'm not a huge green tea lover either.
