Ok my dear friends. I sold a photo the other day on my etsy page and I was so stoked that I'm trying to get more prints up there. I had this wacky idea of adding text to some of my images to turn them into cards of some sort. It all started with Jamie's birthday. Eventually I want to be able to print actual cards myself but I can't find the right paper. And I don't want to go through the process of ordering them online since I want to print them as they're purchased. But that's not what this is about...
I need your help. If you would so kindly be a little "online focus group" and let me know what you think of these little creations.
- Would you purchase them as actual prints? Or would you prefer them as cards?
- Would you even purchase them if they were cards?
- Do you like the added text at all or would you rather it not be there?
- If you do like the text, do you like one simple word as shown?
- Would you like to see phrases like Happy Mother's Day, Congratulations, Get Well Soon, etc?
- Would you like to see quotes? Song lyrics?
- If given the option would you want a customized print where you tell me what to write on the shot?
- What do you think of the fonts? Keep it simple? Or do you like the funkiness?

Cards!
I like #1-4 for cards. #2 I like as a print as well. The fonts are good. I like the photo in #5 a lot, but it sort of reminds me of the posters on the ceiling of a dentist office.
Thanks Aves! I agree about #5 looking like those inspirational posters, but I thought it could be cool as like a graduation card for a boy or something. Not sure how "in demand" graduations cards for boys who like basketball are...
Yeah, I thought of that too. Maybe it could be a happy birthday card for a boy?
Yeah or Father's Day card...I guess I'll remove the "Dream" and see what happens.
Totally agree, # 5 is a bit "motivational". I would buy #1-4 as cards. It would be great to have the option of customizing them so I could send one to my sister that says "you're a deadbeat but I still love you when you're not letting me down or getting knocked up". can you make that one?
Seriously though, great idea, the images are amazing as always. You have a customer here.
Now that I figured out what #5 was, a basketball hoop, I think it's cute. But I'm older and a little slow at catching the ball, sometimes;)
I totally agree with Avery on all of her comments. Shelbs - I just love how crafty you've become :)
LOL Marianna kills me! I like the motivational one! I think they are super cute!
I absolutely adore #2. Perfect in every way! The rest would be great cards (#5 would be a great card for a boy!), but I really love them as prints probably the best! Nice work sister!
