I'm usually not one to make New Year's Resolutions but this year I thought, "Why not?" I have high hopes for 2009 so I may as well plan ahead, right?

Jamie decided to write down her blog goals and I thought that sounded like a pretty good idea. What better way to stick to your goals than to write them down...so here we go:

1. Finally become Mrs. C. I was married 3 months ago and I still haven't made the trek to the Social Security office to change my name. Yikes!

2. Take more photos. I'm telling myself this constantly. I go through phases where I can't put my camera down and phases where I can't bring myself to pick it up. I would love to start a 365 but I don't think I'd last a month. Speaking of 365 - check out my flickr friend Amanda's photo stream as she just completed her incredible, inspiring and creative 365 today. What a feat!

3. Organize, Organize, Organize. I'm not exactly a neat person. I need to fix that as I strongly believe that a neat and organized home makes for a more happy, peaceful and stress free life. I need to spend more time here and maybe here.

4. Stop complaining. For the most part I'm a very positive person who is always reminding herself of how lucky and blessed she is...however I do still do my fair share of complaining. Especially when it comes to my job. This will change in 2009.

5. Be creative.

So that's it. Not too bad. huh? I think these are all doable. Will you help me stick with them? Good.

Now how about you guys? Do you make resolutions? If so, what's on your list this year?

Here's to making the most of 2009!

My resolution is to in the moment, every moment of 2009. To not get carried away by stress and worry. And to finish my screenplay!
Happy New Year!

- don't be so rude to my boyfriend. i can be really hurting sometimes...
- i'm really not good at being social, so i think i have to work on that.

good luck with your resolutions!

Melanie - maybe you could start with a photo a week instead of one a day?

Either way - good luck with your resolutions too!

Thanks!

I tried to make achievable goals this year, although I should try the "stop complaining" goal as well. I swear, I am so the yin to my husband's yang.

And good luck with the SS office. It doesn't take long, but that is only the beginning. I still haven't changed over all of my credit cards.

Your pictures are gorgeous; happy new year!

Thanks Lindsey! We can try the stop complaining thing together...if you see me complaining on here don't hesitate to call me out.

Shelbs- Do a 365. I know you can, you practially do one already! And it's just taking the photo... it's not 365 and uploading everyday. Do it! Do it! Do it!

I posted some resolutions on my blog but the more I think about it the more I come up with. I am not so sure that is a good sign!
You will do great at yours. Good luck on the name change thing, I am hoping you tell me it is really easy when you are done since I am going to have to do it soon too! Yikes.

Hey James - I'm gonna give it a shot. If you look closely you'll see it on my blog each day. Very subtle since I don't want to make a big deal of it. And I don't think I'll be uploading them ALL to flickr either. We'll see. Thanks for the encouraging words! Xoxo

Mal - I'll keep you posted on the name change. I really don't think it's THAT bad...just a matter of taking that first step.
