HoneyMoonin'

This was my view for most of the day. (Taken from my little point and shoot) We arrived late last night to Papeete. We hung by the pool and beach most of the day today and had some cocktails. Not too bad. We're off to Huahine in a couple hours for our 4 night stay in deep overwater bungalows. I have a feeling Huahine is pretty "rustic" so we may not have internet access. Good thing I changed our fantasy football picks!

This place is amazing and I know its just going to get better and better. All good things - minus the pool turning my hair a nice shade of green....many more adventures to follow! Au Revoir!

XOXO

Wedding Time!

It's finally here! In a couple of hours I'll be off work, officially on vacation and ready to get married! Everyone will start arriving in the next couple of days and the celebration begins!

I'm feeling really good! Not too stressed, most everything is done so I'm just ready to see everyone and start enjoying these next couple of weeks!

Happy Birthday to my dear Stace! My best friend, Matron of honor and person with the worst taste in sports teams :) I love you dearly and can't wait to see you in a week!

Understatement of the Day....

Seating charts are hard. Especially wedding seating charts. My brain hurts.

Two Proteas and a Dahlia

Just like the billy balls I pulled these from my mock up wedding centerpieces. I love that flowers can last forever through photos.

Summer: I'm not over you yet...

Even though summer is technically over in one week...I refuse to let it go. At least not until my wedding is wrapped up and I return from Tahiti. Then and only then will I welcome Fall with open arms and a tall Pumpkin Spice Latte with light whip.

Until then I will continue to dream of lazy summer days, warm sand on my feet, crystal clear water and a different pair of flip flops every day of the week.

I cruised the web today looking for inspiring photos to keep summer alive and thoughts of Tahiti swimming through my head....

Holy Hotness

Rich went to the Boost Mobile Pro at Trestles yesterday and took TONS of AMAZING shots of all the hotties, I mean surfers.

Including this one above of Kelly Slater after he took the title. (Click here to see it bigger and better) There are a million more photos that I want to brag about but I haven't had the chance to steal them yet so I'll post them later.

Click here to Save Trestles because Eddie said so.

After all no Trestles, no hotness.

I Can't Focus Anymore

I've officially crossed over into the "Vacation Zone." I can't think about anything else other than the wedding and Tahiti. And honestly...the wedding isn't thought about as much as it should be. I still have lots left to do. But as you saw in my Tahiti Dreamin' post my mind always seems to drift to Tahiti.

Let me break it down for you:

16 days until the wedding
8 more days of work (not including weekends)
18 days until we leave for Tahiti
10 days in paradise
and a grand total of 19 days off of work

Would you be able to concentrate on anything but that? I didn't think so.

Kelly & Craig: Tahoe Wedding

Finally got around to editing some of the photos from Kel and Craig's wedding. It was such a gorgeous Tahoe wedding! I'll let the photos speak for themselves....

Here comes the bride...

The first kiss as husband and wife!

Rich and I at the cocktail reception

The bride and grooms first dance to Coldplay's Green Eyes

Kelly and her dad had their father - daughter dance while a slide show of Kel's childhood played in the background.

Their table settings looked straight out of InStyle Weddings.

Thanks Craig and Kel for an incredible weekend!

Ahh...

When I took this shot a couple weeks ago I had one of those "ahh moments." You know, when you feel so lucky to be alive and life couldn't get any better? I live in gorgeous San Diego and I get at least 5 hot air balloons that fly over my house every single night. And when the setting sun casts a perfect glow on these enormous, colorful balloons you can't help but smile.

Ahh...

Orchids

In Hawaii, orchid blooms are used as a garnish for food and drink. Eating the blossom is said to insure your return to the Islands.

Next time I'm in Hawaii I'll be sure to feast on Orchids.

Final Sneak Peek

I'm going to make this my last Sneak Peek as I don't want to reveal too much.
24 days and counting!

Tahiti Dreamin'

26 days from now Rich and I will be on our way to Tahiti for our honeymoon. It's all I can think about these days. I start to think about the wedding and before long my thoughts have drifted to warm, clear water and white sandy beaches.

So today, at work, while dreaming of our honeymoon I of course started thinking about what I will wear...which brought me to my favorite store ever: Anthropologie (see my Current Obsession on the left hand side of the page) where I couldn't resist picking up a few honeymoon must haves....

I found this gorgeous silk chemise that would be perfect as a bikini cover up or even out for a nice dinner on the beach.

I lost my Banana Republic Aviators at the San Diego Chargers game last week so when I saw these flygirl shades on sale I couldn't resist.

Avery has me so hooked on hats it's ridiculous. And you can't spend two weeks in the sun without some stylish skin protection so I snagged this Sardou Fedora.

If this Coral Reef Scarf isn't me I don't know what is. I know packing for Tahiti doesn't usually include scarves, but these colors where so deliciously irresistible I couldn't hold back. And since it's made of silk georgette, it should be light enough to wear all day long.

The best part? EVERYTHING was on sale! No buyers remorse here!
