Elle Inspired

As I mentioned the other day I was inspired by a series of shots I found on Elle.com that were presented as film negatives from a photo shoot.

So with a little Photoshop magic I took some photos from my shoot with Taryn and added the film border.

Fallen

It may look like Fall in San Diego, but it sure doesn't feel like it. It was probably 80 degrees outside when I was taking photos today. But I promise you the leaves are changing and it's absolutely gorgeous here. I took a bunch of photos with much more color so stay tuned.

So Happy It's Friday

I'm doing my little Friday happy dance right now

Is it me or has this been the LONGEST week ever? It's not that work has been super difficult or even overly slow - it's just been a strange, slow week. So obviously I'm looking forward to the weekend. Only a few more hours to go....

Rich and I have a black-tie optional event on Saturday night and I'm clueless as to what to wear. Maybe I should pop over to Avery Bleu to check out the Ready to Wear collections - inspiration only. Needless to say I will NOT be wearing my torn Katie Holmes wannabe jeans to the party.

Sunday will - once again - be filled with football and probably mimosas, too...but this time we're throwing pumpkin carving, dog costumes and cookie baking in the mix.

I'm THAT Girl

I can't wait to hear what Mariana has to say about this...

Yes I dressed up my dog. But at least I don't do it every day of the year, right?

I was at the pet store the other day and they had these adorably ridiculous costumes on sale and I couldn't resist.

Zu Girl is a trooper - as long as we give her a stick to chew on - she'll wear anything we ask.

Oh it's pure entertainment. Priceless.

I'm Married Now

Which means I randomly make crafts on Monday nights. Crafts like gluing seashells to a picture frame (cheesy, I know) At least the seashells were from necklaces given to us on our honeymoon.




Once I finished burning the tips of every finger on my left hand I got inspired by the dead palm tree on our patio. So I cut up the dead leaves and glued them to another photo frame. I actually like the way this one turned out. It reminds me of the thatched roofs in Tahiti




And my last wave of creativity came to me when I laid eyes on this awful fake plastic plant I had in my living room. Why I have this plant is beyond me. But the fake plastic petals did make for an interesting photo frame...I think?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

A little coffee enjoyed in my new Crate and Barrel mugs followed by Mimosas and Charger Football....simple pleasures.

So I can't believe I actually went through hundreds - if not thousands - of photos and got it down to my favorite 121 shots.

I would have liked to add music to the slide show but I guess I'm not that blog savvy. So just hum a little Jack Johnson/Ben Harper/Bob Marley in your head as you watch.

We're baaaaaack!

We had the most amazing time in Tahiti. I can't even begin to guess how many photos we took. I really want to share them all without boring you to pieces. Once I start editing them - I'll get some up on here. In the meantime here's a shot my Mom took at the wedding - we were all about those parasols! The best day of my life! Thanks to all who shared the day with us!
